Alisha is the President of the Alabama Mushroom Club, on the Executive Board of the North American Mycological Association where she serves on the Voucher Committee and the Nominating Committee. She is a Volunteer Coordinator with the Fungal Diversity Survey and manages the Southeast Rare Fungi Challenge. She is also the Assistant Curator of Fungi for the University of West Alabama.
Alisha is comfortable IDing fungi on the East Coast of the US and have served on the ID team for the annual NAMA Foray 2023, the Texas Mushroom Festival, the Alabama Mushroom Festival and the Ohio Mushroom Festival. She leads dozens of forays a year and also loves to lead events for kids.
She has several presentations available and is very comfortable presenting over Zoom and other online platforms.
