LO PICCOLO, LORENZO

I have been foraging for mushrooms since early 2000 and began offering educational lectures in 2021. My program has been presented in over 30 libraries, gardening clubs, nature centers, state/county parks, schools, Girls Scouts, and other nature loving organizations. Most programs cover an introduction to fungi, identification, safety, sustainability, and a walkthrough select species throughout the seasons. I presented for the Michigan Mushroom Hunter Club during annual Fungus Fest on topics as Italian Fungi and Lesser-Known Fungi. I also presented to the Friend of Fungi (Royal Oak) on the topic of Ascomycetes Fungi. I lead some of the MMHC forays, local parks, and provide private walks.
