Homemade Pioppino Hot Chocolate
12 mugs of delicious hot chocolate approximately 180 ml each
Ingredients
- 2 litres milk
- 350 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 120 grams vanilla sugar
- 50 grams cocoa powder Dutch processed
- 30 grams Pioppino powder dehydrated
Optional Ingredients
- marshmallows
- chocolate drizzle
- candy cane
Instructions
- Whisk together the cocoa powder, the Pioppino powder and the milk in a bowl. Be sure to make a smooth texture to avoid lumps in the final product.
- Pour the milk mixture into the slow cooker and add the sugar and chocolate chips and stir to dissolve.
- Turn the temperature on low for 3 to 4 hours, giving it a good stir every hour, ensuring no chocolate sticks to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Notes
Garnish with marshmallows, chocolate drizzle and/or a candy cane.
